Its good to see the Muse lads are still using the visual’s for their tune ‘Super Massive Black Hole’, that Dan helped produce in conjunction with ‘Creative Saint’ in London.

It was originally produced for their Absolution tour 3 years ago, and was revised for the Wembly Stadium shows in 2008.  It has since stood the test of time, and is still used as one of the most eye catching visuals in the set.

After the success of our promotional videos for the launch of the ‘Madcatz Eclipse‘ product line, we were asked to produce more promotional videos for the launch of the RAT gaming mice.  Now these are the mice of all mice!  Didn’t know such powerful devices exist, but they do, and they were a great subject to work on and produce 3 videos for.  The videos were played at the CeBit 2010 in Germany, and on the new ‘Madcatz Cyborg’ website.  You can view the videos at http://www.cyborggaming.com and by navigating to the RAT 9, 7, or 5 product pages

Love this stunning example of 3d, and an exquisite integration of  sound design.   Will be closely following Director Jean-Paul Frenay & team and his future creations….

FA will be supplying some of effects shots for Rob Bennets short film ‘Gojira Suit’.  Although completion date is still up in the air, it will be played across all major UK film festivals.  It is being edited by Paul O’Connor of Mechanical Mouse in Bristol, and is currently in post production.  Watch this space for further info and news on the production.

FA have helped with the new Peugeot RCZ promotional web video before the launch of this snazzy new model. We worked with our friends just down the road Hurricane Media, and provided the light art streaks, through tracking light artist Michael Bosanko’s strokes.  It was great to see Michael at work to produce the end shot of the video. You’ll probably be familiar with his other commissions through the Talk Talk and the X Factor light art stings (visit http://www.michaelbosanko.com). Top guy, and real pleasure to watch work.. Have finally completed 2 series for the Channel 5 show build a new life in the country.  Has been a long process working with the lovely ‘Creative Saint’ ‘Creative Saint’in Oxford street, with FA suppling the 3d flythrough graphics.  Well done guys – Job done – got there in the end!  The latest series is currently being broadcast on Channel 5 for all to enjoy, and you can catch up with the series here!

recently caught up with a good friend of mine from the golden days of youth, and watched him and his band perform under the alias Alex Metric.  You may have caught him as one of the new radio 1 team, and thinks he deserves a pimp up, cos he was brilliant!  The lads come a long way!  As this is a blog for all things animation,  his new video for single ‘It Starts’ is a wicked animated peice of mo graph….  Enjoy!!

Had a manic Xmas holiday period at FA HQ!  No rest for the wicked, but have recently completed some  new projects, and forged some eciting new collaborations.

London design Agency ‘Design Facility’ have partnered with Freelance Animator to produce a number of videos for their ongoing web development contracts. Watch this space….

We have also recently completed a selection of product videos for ‘Madcatz Inc www.madcatz.com, a global computer peripherals design and manufacturing company.  You can view the videos of their exclusive ‘Eclipse’ range of 4 product videos at http://eclipsetouch.com.

In addition, we have produced more stings for BBC’s ‘Total Wipeout’, and in show videos for another series of Channel 5s ‘Build a New Life in the Country.’

Unfortunately, just returned from my visit to Sir Richard Bransons private islands in the British Virgin Islands, after a trip to catch up with Freelance Animator co founder Kiain Bird.  All I can say is wow!!, and with enough projects and pennys saved, maybe I could buy and island next door!??!  Won’t bore or make you all jelous with loads of pics, but heres one of Dan gracefully teeing off the top of Necker Island with a hole in one into the……  Caribbean sea!!

We’re adding some more punch to the production pipeline, by adding some Boxx render nodes to the setup.  Rendering power is like cheese on a pizza, you can never have too much!! These new additions will add improved workflow, and greatly improved render times, particularly with HD projects…..
